US expert: Kyrgyz restrictions slow the spread of coronavirus
The restrictive measures taken by Kyrgyzstan have affected the slowdown in the incidence of coronavirus. This was announced at a briefing by the regional director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Central Asia, Daniel Singer.
The real picture of the spread of coronavirus will show only PCR diagnostics
“Kyrgyzstan’s response to COVID-19, the closure of borders, the introduction of restrictive measures have slowed the spread of the disease,” he said.
He added that their analysis shows that in Kyrgyzstan, trips to public places and shops decreased by 60 percent. “The republic has the best indicator in Central Asia,” he said.
“But all these measures only slow down the spread of the disease, and there is a lot of work ahead. Need to test more people, isolate. We hope that our support will help in this direction, ”added Daniel Singer.
Recall, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides Kyrgyzstan $ 1.38 million to combat COVID-19. The funds are planned, in particular, to spend on the purchase of equipment, reagents for laboratories.
